Transportation Supervisor $55K - $65K Pasadena, CA
The selected candidate will be responsible for the general performance and morale of subordinates in a non-union environment. Will develop shipping schedules and maintain awareness of all shipment activity. Coordinates the planning and development of appropriate changes in the department. Evaluates carriers, transportation methods, rates, and routes to ensure the most cost efficient and timely movement of goods. Develops programs to audit and monitor carrier rates. Will assist with developing new transportation services and negotiating rates with carriers. Will be a major contributor to budget preparation.
BS in business, transportation, logistics, or related with 2 - 4 years supervisory experience in transportation or distribution is required. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable of INCO terms of sale, international shipment movement, customs terminology, and US Customs/Bureau of Export Administration policies.
